Diego López: prestigious ambassador for the IV Valencia CF Academy World Cup
Valencia CF training ground to host U12 players from America, Asia, and Europe in June
Rotating training as goalkeepers is one of the dynamics that the VCF Academy installed last season so that the little ones know all the playing positions.
"In the early stages of training we understand that positions should not exist as such, in fact, it is interesting that all players participate in any space, including the goal" explains Aitor. "They have to try and enjoy being goalkeepers, being initiators, being attackers ... this will help them establish a base, have a more global idea of the game and empathize with all positions, especially in the case of the goalkeeper," he adds.
This weekend it was Saul's turn to replace his teammate. His performance was great and the team kept a clean sheet. In the upcoming weeks the rest of the players will be covering the goal position.
